The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Ice picks: Today's best NHL bets

New Jersey Devils at Buffalo Sabres (-140, 5.5)

Ryan Miller and the Buffalo Sabres aren’t happy about the hit that sent Jason Pominville out of Monday’s game on a stretcher.

Pominville, who had 24 goals and 62 points last season, was blindsided into the boards by Chicago’s Niklas Hjalmarsson during Monday night’s 4-3 loss. Pominville needed seven or eight stitches to close a cut above his eye.

“My job's not to make rulings,” Miller told reporters. “It's the League, it's Colin Campbell. It's up to him to set a precedent right now. No matter if the guy's trying to make a smart hockey play, he made a dumb hockey play, and he should be suspended."

The league answered that request by banning Hjalmarsson for two games. Meanwhile, the Sabres were forced to juggle their lines now that Pominville’s out with a concussion. Thomas Vanek shifted from the left wing to the right side on the second line with Tim Connolly in the middle and Tyler Ennis on the left during Tuesday’s practice.

Look for Miller and the Sabres to come out fired up on Wednesday.

Pick: Buffalo

Tampa Bay Lightning at Montreal Canadiens (-125, 5.5)

The Tampa Bay Lightning caught a break from the NHL’s schedule-making team early this season. They have been off since opening the season last Saturday against Atlanta, which was just what the team needed to get everything in order.

The Lightning have a new coach at the helm in Guy Boucher, who learned his craft in the Canadiens’ organization before signing on with Tampa Bay.

"We needed time," Boucher told reporters. "It's a new coach, new staff and we have 10 players that are new. We're probably the team that made the most changes in the League in terms of players, staff, ownership, GM. It's a big adjustment for everybody and the players have to deal with that the most and figure out how to act and how to play. They've done a great job at it."

The Lightning also have some French-Canadian snipers like Vincent Lecavalier, Martin St. Louis and Simone Gagne looking to light it up in Montreal.

Pick: Lightning

Bettors' best friend: Wednesday's wagering tips

Lines to watch

Central Florida at Marshall – The Thundering Herd opened as 6.5-point underdogs but now sit around +5.5 at most books. The total has dropped to 44 from 46.5 at the open.

Weather to watch

Central Florida at Marshall – 40 percent chance of thunderstorms with temperatures in the low-50s.

Who’s hot

Central Florida is 9-1 ATS in its last 10 road games.

The under has cashed in on each of the Pittsburgh Penguins’ three games this year.

Chicago Blackhawks are 37-15 in their last 52 home games.

Who’s not

New York Islanders are 15-57 in their last 72 road games.

New Jersey Devils are 8-20 in their last 28 road games and goaltender Martin Brodeur has a .851 save percentage in three starts this season.

Key stat

38.5 – percentage of power plays the New York Islanders have converted on through two games this year (5-for-13) heading into Wednesday’s game against the Washington Capitals. However, New York will be without stud center John Tavares (concussion), who had 54 points in his first season last year, until this weekend at the earliest.

Injury that shouldn’t be overlooked

Pekka Rinne (lower-body), Nashville Predators – It looks as though the Preds will be without their No. 1 goaltender when they look to tame the Chicago Blackhawks’ offense on Wednesday. Rinne picked up the injury early in the third period of Saturday’s game against Anaheim and rookie Anders Lindback came on in relief to stop all seven shots he faced in a 4-1 win over the Ducks. Lindback is expected to make his first NHL start between the pipes on Wednesday.

Game of the day

Central Florida at Marshall (5.5, 44)

Notable quotable

“I heard coach (George) O’Leary compared him to (Philadelphia Eagles quarterback) Michael Vick and compared him to (former West Virginia QB) Pat White. Where those guys really create issues for you is when they get on the perimeter. We have to try and contain him and do a good job of keeping him in the pocket.” – Marshall first-year coach Doc Holliday on UCF’s true freshman quarterback Jeffrey Godfrey, who leads the team with 283 rushing yards in of 52 carries despite splitting snaps with junior QB Rob Calabrese.

Notes and tips

UCF has been getting ready to deal with a crazy crowd at Marshall on Wednesday. The Thundering Herd have a white-out planned, with all spectators dressed in white and UCF coach George O’Leary played jet engine noise during practice this week to get his team ready for a hostile environment.

The New York Islanders will be without defenseman James Wisniewski when they travel to Washington for a date with the potent Washington Capitals on Wednesday. Wisniewski was suspended for two games after making an obscene gesture at the New York Rangers’ pest Sean Avery on Monday. Wisniewski had a goal and three points through three games while averaging more than 23 minutes of ice time per game for the Islanders.

The New Jersey Devils had just 15 skaters on the roster when they dropped a 3-1 decision to the Pittsburgh Penguins in a Columbus Day matinee and they’re going to have another short bench against the Sabres. The Devils, who are feeling the pinch of the salary cap after signing Ilya Kovalchuk to a $100-million contract, signed Adam Mair to a one-year contract on Tuesday but will still be without Brian Rolston (lower-body) and Anton Volchenkov (broken nose) against Buffalo. That means they’ll likely dress 16 skaters on Wednesday.

Central Florida Knights at Marshall Thundering Herd [ESPN | 8:00 PM ET]

KNIGHTS: (-5.5, O/U 44.5) Central Florida played their best game last week, a complete 42-7 SU beatdown of UAB. The Knights are 3-2 SU and 4-1 ATS overall this year. The biggest reason for their success is their defense, as they've held their past 3 opponents to 17 PTS or fewer. The Knights are only allowing 13.8 PPG, 8th best in the nation. Heading into the brunt of their conference schedule, it can be assumed that this defense is only going to get even stronger. UCF has a potent rushing attack, as they average nearly 200 YPG on the ground, 32nd in the nation. For UCF to continue to be one of the best mid-majors in the country, they will have to better in the passing game. The Knights are only averaging 170 YPG through the air, 100th best in the country. UCF can win back to back games SU for the first time this season tonight. The Knights are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 conference games. The Knights are 6-0 ATS against a team with a losing record. UCF is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games following a bye week.

Knights are 9-1 ATS last 10 road games.
Under is 8-3 last 11 games following a SU win.

Key Injuries - WR A.J. Guyton (knee) is probable.

Projected Score: 23 (UNDER-Total of the Day)

THUNDERING HERD: Marshall is flat out struggling this year, as the are 1-4 both SU and ATS this season. Marshall was pummeled last week by Southern Mississippi, and the going doesn't get any easier this week. The Thundering Herd face a very stout team in UCF tonight. Marshall has lost the past 5 meetings against UCF, so revenge would certainly be sweet tonight at home. Because this game is at home, one would think Marshall will be ready to play with the type of effort they showed against WVA earlier this season. The Herd are struggling to score this season, as they are only averaging 19.2 PPG, 100th best in the nation. Surprisingly, the Herd are struggling run the football, as they don't have a player with more than 250 YDS rushing this season. Marshall's defense might be the most disappointing aspect of their season, as they are allowing opponents to average 35.4 PPG. The only thing working in the Herd's favor tonight is the fact they've had extra time to prepare for this league contest. Marshall has had 3 more days to prepare for tonight than UCF has. The Thundering Herd are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game. Marshall is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a SU loss of more than 20 points.

Thundering Herd are 12-4 ATS last 16 games as a home underdog.
Under is 11-2 last 13 games after allowing more than 40 points in their previous game.

Key Injuries - DT Johnny Jones (knee) is questionable.

Projected Score: 17

What bettors need to know

Wednesday, October 13

Central Florida Knights at Marshall Thundering Herd (+5.5, 44.5)

It’s the second straight Wednesday of Conference USA action featuring UCF. This time, the Knights are on the road as they look for their eighth conference victory in a row.

Line Movement

The side has dropped a point from its opening of 6.5 at most books while the total has dropped a half a point at most books. Approximately 60 percent of the lean is on Central Florida. The Knights are 4-1 ATS this season while Marshall is 1-4, with the lone cover coming against West Virginia.

The series

UCF leads the all-time series, 5-3, and has won the past five. Last year in Orlando, the Knights won 21-20, scoring twice in the final eight minutes to overcome a 20-7 deficit.

This year’s Knights enter off an impressive 42-7 win over UAB. Sophomore safety Kemal Ishmael was a one-man wrecking crew for UCF and was named C-USA Defensive Player of the Week. He made seven tackles, grabbed an interception and forced a fumble that was returned for a touchdown to lead a dominant UCF defense. That unit is ranked second nationally in passing efficiency, fifth in pass defense, eighth in scoring defense and ninth in total defense.

Central Florida has played N.C. State and Kansas State and could have won both games. Only UCF and Cal have defenses ranked in the Top 10 in all four of those categories. The Knights have allowed opponents just eight trips to the red zone in five games, only topped by TCU’s seven in six games.

Marshall enters off a disappointing effort in a 41-16 loss at Southern Miss on October 2. The Herd offense was inept with just 180 total yards. On the positive side, Marshall defensive end Vinny Curry had two more sacks to give him eight in five games. He ranks No. 1 in the FBS in sacks, No. 2 in tackles for loss with 11.5 and 16th with 50 total tackles. Curry also has two forced fumbles and three quarterback hurries.

The offenses

This is a home game so it should mean a good night for Marshall QB Brian Anderson. Overall, he has completed 85-of-147 passes for 880 yards and eight touchdowns against five interceptions.

In two home games, he is 41-of-59 for 524 yards and six touchdowns with no interceptions. But the Herd are second-to-last in C-USA in rushing and 105th in the nation (101 yards per game). They managed just 52 yards on the ground against Southern Miss.

“We have to become a more balanced offense,” first-year head coach Doc Holliday said to reporters. “It comes down to blocking and we've got to do a better job of doing that.”

The Knights are very good on the ground but not so much in the air. The team rotates QBs, with freshman Jeffrey Godfrey getting most of the time. Rob Calabrese often comes in on a Wildcat-type formation.

Last week Godfrey rushed for 80 yards (he leads the team in rushing) while Calabrese rushed for 40 yards. It was the first time in UCF history that two quarterbacks finished with 40 rushing yards or more in the same game. The Knights have four players with at least 100 yards rushing. Both QBs are completing better than 64 percent of their passes but UCF is 100th in the nation in passing yards per game (169.4).

This and that

Central Florida coach George O’Leary said backup kicker Jamie Boyle will likely handle field goals at Marshall as starter Nick Cattoi has struggled this season. Cattoi has hit only four of his eight field goal attempts this season. He has missed all three attempts from 40-49 yards, including a 44-yard attempt against UAB.

Marshall is 6-2 all-time playing on Wednesday nights. The Herd are 121-20 overall at Joan C. Edwards Stadium for a winning percentage of .858. That’s the best in Division I for any team in its current stadium.

WINNING POINTS

Marshall* over Central Florida by 1 (Wednesday)
If all went according to expectation the preceding Wednesday at home vs. U.A.B., it was going to be freshman Jeffrey Godfrey starting at QB for the Golden Knights. That is not much experience to have as the #1 before going in front of this crowd at night.

BANG THE BOOK

Wednesday's Best NCAA Bet

UCF Knights vs. Marshall Thundering Herd (+5.5, 44.5)

Week 7 NCAA football betting action kicks off on Wednesday night in Huntington, as the UCF Knights collide with the Marshall Thundering Herd in Conference USA action.

The Knights might only be a 3-2 team this year, but they really proved last week in a 42-7 win over the UAB Blazers that they had the potential to be a Top 25 team if they could just put a full game together. Near misses against both the Kansas State Wildcats and North Carolina State Wolfpack have proven to be costly. QB Jeff Godfrey is continuing to come into his own this year, as he is a dual threat as a runner and a passer. Godfrey still makes some major freshman errors, but HC George O’Leary will certainly take the fact that he has accounted for 814 total yards on offense in five games while splitting some time with QB Rob Calabrese. Running back depth is becoming a real issue for the Knights, as they have already lost three at that position this year to injuries. Only RB Ronnie Weaver really remains as a potential star back, as he has carried the ball for 255 yards and five scores this year. He’ll be spelled by RB Brendan Kelly at times, but no longer has RB Jonathan Davis to rely on after he suffered a knee injury. UCF has it made defensively, where the team has not allowed more than 28 points in a game once this season. The unit ranks in the Top 10 in the country in total defense (265.2 YPG), pass defense (148.2 YPG), and scoring defense (13.8 PPG).

Just when the Thundering Herd thought that they were getting back on track with a win over the Ohio Bobcats, the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles derailed them once again. Granted, we know that the Eagles might be the best team in C-USA this year… but so might UCF. QB Brian Anderson is doing everything he can, but when push comes to shove, he just isn’t getting enough help from his friends to do any real damage. He is completing 57.8 percent of his passes for 880 yards and eight TDs this season, but no man on the team has more than 250 rushing yards or 283 receiving yards. To top that off, his defense ranks No. 108 in the country in scoring at 35.4 points per game, and the unit has allowed 40+ points three times in just five outings. Needless to say, there is a ton of work for HC Doc Holliday to do to end up making it in Conference USA.

UCF is just the dominant team in this game, and though this line has dropped, making this a very square looking play, it is a play that we feel as though we have to make. Go with the Knights to rock and roll for the second straight Wednesday night football betting affair.

Pick: UCF Knights -5

NHL Betting Preview

Devils-Sabres Preview

Vezina Trophy finalists Martin Brodeur and Ryan Miller helped the New Jersey Devils and the Buffalo Sabres capture their respective division titles last season.

Right now, it's hard to tell either team's strength lies between the pipes.

Early struggles from two of the league's most accomplished goaltenders have plagued both clubs, but perhaps a head-to-head meeting will spark a turnaround as Miller's Sabres host Brodeur and the short-handed Devils on Wednesday night.

Brodeur led the NHL with 45 victories last season and Miller won the Vezina - after being named MVP of the Olympic tournament - but neither New Jersey (0-2-1) nor Buffalo (1-2-0) made it out of the first round of the 2010 playoffs.

Both teams' struggles have extended into the start of this season. They've lost five of six combined games, with Miller (.880) and Brodeur (.859) not even ranking among the top 30 in save percentage.

In the Devils' case, at least part of their issues can be traced to the lack of available bodies in front of Brodeur. With injuries and a suspension further depleting a team that's up against the salary cap, New Jersey was down to 15 skaters Monday and remained winless with a 3-1 loss to Pittsburgh.

"We don't use excuses," first-year coach John MacLean said. "We had enough players. We just needed to compete better."

Defenseman Anton Volchenkov (broken nose) and forward Brian Rolston (groin) will again sit out Wednesday, but New Jersey will have one extra body to its roster of skaters. The Devils signed former Sabres center Adam Mair on Tuesday after assigning Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond - who was suspended for Monday's game - to the AHL.

Mair spent the last seven seasons in Buffalo, where he averaged 15 points.

"It will be nice to go back there and play those guys," Mair told the Devils' official website. "They're a little desperate, we're desperate for a win. It should be a good game."

The Sabres dropped their home opener 6-3 to the Rangers on Saturday, but looked like they were in great position to bounce back Monday against the Stanley Cup champions. The Sabres raced to a 2-0 lead on Chicago less than three minutes in, but couldn't even earn a point in a 4-3 loss.

Even more concerning was a potentially devastating injury to Jason Pominville. Buffalo's third-leading scorer (24 goals, 38 assists) last season, Pominville had to be carted off on a stretcher after being hit into the boards from behind by Blackhawks defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson in the first period.

Pominville suffered a concussion and is out indefinitely. He had played in 336 consecutive games - the fifth-longest streak in the league.

"You can't lose good players to hits like this," coach Lindy Ruff said. "In the past, I might have flipped out and started screaming and yelling. But I'm going to let the league deal with it."

Pominville had a goal and an assist in four games last season against New Jersey, but the stars of a series the Devils won 2-1-1 were the goalies. Brodeur had a 1.47 goals-against average in four games, allowing two goals in the final three contests, while Miller posted a 1.62 GAA in three starts.

Brodeur is 3-0-2 with a 1.33 GAA in his last five games in Buffalo.

Lightning-Canadiens Preview

One game into the season, Steven Stamkos is playing at the level that has made him a star for the Tampa Bay Lightning. That might not bode well for the Montreal Canadiens.

Coming off a stellar opener, Stamkos looks for another strong effort as the visiting Lightning take on the Canadiens on Wednesday night.

Stamkos recorded a career-high 51 goals to tie Sidney Crosby for the NHL lead during a breakout 2009-10 season. The No. 1 overall draft pick in 2008, Stamkos picked up where he left off by scoring two goals and adding an assist in a 5-3 win over Atlanta on Saturday.

"I've played with Stamkos a couple of times at the world championships and I know he's got unbelievable hands," Atlanta goaltender Chris Mason said.

Stamkos showed off those hands in his last two games against Montreal, scoring twice and recording an assist.

"He doesn't try to get the fancy goals, " first-year Lightning coach Guy Boucher said. "He battles in there."

Quebec native Vincent Lecavalier, who also scored in the opener, has four goals and eight assists in his last 10 games versus Montreal.

With games Wednesday and Thursday, Mike Smith and Dan Ellis are each expected to get a start in goal for Tampa Bay. It's uncertain who will be in net for this contest.

Smith, who stopped 27 shots against the Thrashers, is 1-0-2 with a 1.91 goals-against average versus Montreal. Ellis, who spent the last three seasons with Nashville, is 1-0 with a 2.38 GAA against the Canadiens.

Tampa Bay has not started 2-0 since winning its first three in 2007-08.

Boucher, who coached Montreal's AHL team in Hamilton to a 52-17-11 record last season, knows his club faces a tough task against the Canadiens (1-1-0) in their home opener.

"(Montreal) is going to be fired up," Boucher said. "There's a challenge. Let's go and jump into it."

The Lightning will try to contain Michael Cammalleri, who scored twice in a 3-2 comeback win at Pittsburgh on Saturday. Cammalleri's 13 postseason goals helped the Canadiens reach the Eastern Conference finals last season.

"Cammalleri is a real quality player and he has the ability to score key goals," coach Jacques Martin said of the 5-foot-9 winger who missed a 3-2 loss at Toronto on Thursday while serving a one-game suspension.

Cammalleri has a goal and three assists in five games versus Tampa Bay.

After stopping 57 of 62 shots the first two games, Carey Price is likely to be in goal for the Canadiens. Price, who regained the No. 1 job when playoff star Jaroslav Halak was traded to St. Louis, made 36 saves against Pittsburgh.

"Carey was really good, but you know what? We expect him to be that way," Cammalleri said.

Price is 3-3-1 with a 2.36 GAA against the Lightning.

Scott Gomez, who scored the winner Saturday, has two goals and seven assists in his last eight games versus Tampa Bay.

Though the teams have split their last eight meetings, Tampa Bay has lost once in regulation during that span - 5-3 at Montreal on March 9.

Hondo

Hondo cashed last night with the Texas Rangers, who laid down the law against the Rays to cut the accounts payable to 2,730 modzelewskis.

Tonight, even though Central Florida coach George O'Leary has arguably the most impressive resume in college football, Mr. Aitch will drop his disposable dough on Marshall. Ten units.
